The swedes
An incredible experience to live in something in between a tent and an igloo in the middle of the jungle. The room was fresh. The bed was comfortable and the feeling of everything was that you were staying in an ordinary hotel room, although not. We are terribly afraid of animals but didn't get so much as a mosquito bite. The couple who ran the place were fantastic and you really wanted to hang out with them more. Simply a great place.

Waste of money
Do not book this place — it is a complete tourist trap.
When we arrived, the reception was unmanned. We had to contact someone via WhatsApp, and instead of being welcomed, we were threatened. They told us we would not receive the key to our room unless we paid for the transfer again — even though we had already paid for it.
Once we finally gained access to the property, things only got worse. The resort looked completely abandoned and nothing like the photos online. It was in terrible condition and honestly quite shocking to see.
Our room was filthy. Nothing had been cleaned. There was dirt everywhere, visible mold, and an overall feeling of neglect. It was a complete mess. The swimming pool looked like it had turned into a garbage dump rather than a place to relax.
There was never any staff available to speak to or to file a complaint with. We felt completely abandoned. When we decided to leave early because the situation was unbearable, we were told we would not receive any refund. We essentially lost our money.
It was a horrible experience that ruined our vacation — and the worst part is that they simply do not seem to care.

STAY AWAY!! Extremely disappointing stay – unsafe and unhygienic
STAY AWAY!! Extremely disappointing stay – unsafe and unhygienic conditions.
We stayed at Chiibal at the end of February and unfortunately our experience was very far from what was advertised. The property felt deserted on arrival, with no staffed reception and no one available to help us check in or address issues.
A staff member on site initially refused to give us the key unless we paid again for an airport transfer that had already been paid, and communication was handled only via WhatsApp. Once inside the room, we found an old, poorly maintained space with visible rust, mold in several areas, and overall very poor hygiene and cleanliness.
The reception area was also concerning: my registration paper with full personal details was left out in the open on the desk, visible to anyone. This felt unsafe and unprofessional. Because it was late and there was no one on site to help, we stayed only one night and left the next day, even though we had booked four nights.
I would strongly advise future guests to look very carefully at recent reviews and photos before booking. This place did not meet even basic expectations for cleanliness, maintenance, and guest support.

Don't book this! They sell an illusion
The location is fine, but otherwise this accommodation is absolutely not worth the money. They make promises that are not kept: no working wifi, no staff present and everything is poorly maintained. The tents leak enormously; in case of rain, the floor is blank and our stuff has become wet, so we had to throw things away. It was not clean: the shower pit was clogged and smelly, insects and mosquitoes everywhere.
Complaints have been reported to the manager via WhatsApp, but nothing has been done with it. The cleaning even took our air conditioning remote control, making the tent unbearably hot for hours. Check-in at 15:00 proved to be incorrect; on arrival the cleaning had yet to start. Communication was poor and the manager was not open to consultation.
The “pool” is a dirty bath without a pump, the terrace is rotten and unsafe, salt water comes from the tap and at night there is a very loud generator noise. Hospitality is far from here. Don't book this.

Pet friendly glamping experience in Tulum, clean but loud!
Glamping experience in Tulum, pet friendly, unfortunately they are neglecting the place, we found mold in the bathroom walls, one tile felt on the shower, the little private pool wasn’t clean and the water was too cold to jump on it, yes it’s a dome tent and you can heard all your neighbors and the super loud music from the bars around. Good location though.
