Top class!

We live in Silkeborg, but due to the party we didn't have room to have everyone stay overnight with us, so some of us spent the night here! And I must say I am impressed. They were all satisfied with the bed/bathroom conditions and when I saw pictures from the breakfast I was quite impressed and said they should be happy to spend the night on Åhavevej rather than here with us. I have been to 3 star tourist hotels with significantly worse breakfast! In any case, we have not seen anything wrong with recommending the place to friends in the future!!

The owner was very angry and was easily offended. We noticed that she got angry that we went to the pizzeria

I rated it 2 out of 5 because I don't think it was very nice that the owner was angry at us all the time. And because if you lived inside, you had to share bath and toilet which wasn't so cool

Kære Mynthe B, tak for din bedømmelse af vores vandrerhjem. Vi er utrolig kede af, at vores vandrerhjem ikke har levet op til jeres forventninger til jeres lejrskole ophold. Når man kommer 102 lærer og elever som I gjorde så har vi desværre ikke værelser med bad og toilet til alle og derfor var der nogen af jer der skulle bo på værelser med fælles bad og toilet på gangen, at det lige blev jer der skulle bo i afdeling er ikke en beslutning vi har truffet. Det er en beslutning jeres lærer har truffet da de lavede værelsesfordelingen. Vi bliver på ingen måde sure over at I går ud i byen og spiser. Dog kunne vi godt have tænkt os, at I havde givet besked om at I ikke spiste med, så vi undgår alt det madspild der opstår når der pludselig er 25 elever fra 8 klasse der ikke spiser med. Det er meget mad der bliver produceret og ikke mindst går til spilde og det synes vi er rigtig ærgerligt. Så bestemt ikke sur med ærgerlig. Rigtig god dag.

it is a hostel and you can notice. The staff worked all the time in the morning.
But they had a cute dog.
Food is OK
The rooms are slightly undercut
great location, close to the station and close to the city

Kære Søren, tak for din anmeldelse af dit besøg på vores hostel som vi lige har modtaget. Vi er utrolig kede af, at vores hostel ikke levede op til dine forventninger tilbage i maj 2025. Dog glæder vi os over, at du synes godt om vores hostelhund Charlie og ikke mindst den gode beliggenhed vi har. Vi er meget kede af, at du har opfattet os som morgensure. Excellent place to stay and have breakfast

Three women visited this hostel for two nights during the festival of wonder November 2019. Excellent rooms with a beautiful view, great beds, very clean.
Close to town. And a wonderful breakfast with homemade breads, jams, Nutella.
And a great kitchen where we could make our dinner and lunches. Kind owners and we appreciated every minute of our time.
In the summer, we could have even sat outside and enjoyed the nature.
We will be back!

A very good base to explore the area

Even though traveling with a child we only booked a twin room and ended up staying in the main building (room 10) which is probably not the best for a family with a toddler as the social area is underneath and people can be heard until 10 pm rather clearly. ;-)
Everything's clean, well taken care off and nicely decorated. The communal kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. The manager is very nice and helpful, Yvonne really makes you feel welcome!
