Stunning stay in Split

Sipoges arrived in Split after a LONG day (10 hour wait for the boat in Hvar and 1 hour boat to Split). We weren't in the best of moods particularly Oges after she has stumbled on her platforms and Sip has rudely just laughed at her. Oges was left to do the navigating from the ferry to Ema apartments and I must say the apartments are quite difficult to find. We located the street but after knocking on the apartment door the man in the apartment upstairs said that they weren't actually called Ema apartments so this made Sipoges rather confused. Oges asked the nice Croatian man in the cafe bar next to the street and he took her to confirm that this actually was the correct location. Luckily a girl was just coming out of said apartment upstairs and told Oges that we WERE at the correct place and she knew the owner (who is in fact called Elena, not Ema). She rang Elena who quickly came to the rescue. Elena was very sorry that she was not there when we arrived. We had actually said we would be arriving at 9pm, sorry, but the boat was late, sorry. Elena said she had tried to contact us sorry, but couldn't get through sorry, because our phones were off sorry. She left us some lovely presents of milka and crisps (our favourite) and was very sorry. She was so helpful and gave us a detailed explanation of the local area using a map!
Our stay in Split was perfect - Sipoges recommend climbing the Marjan Hill but definitely take water as the heat sent Sipoges a bit weird. We found the Bacvece beach and quickly rehydrated with a well needed orangina.
Both nights in Split we visited Fabrique bar (recommended by Elena) and the food there is STUNNING! Sipoges also enjoyed a boogie :p.
After 2nights Sipoges were meant to have left the apartments by 11am on our final day in Split but didn't manage to pack up until 11:30. Elena turned up and was sorry that we had to leave as she had another reservation sorry. But it's Sipoges that should be sorry!
