What a wonderful hidden gem! Amazing location across the street from the beach, and could hear the ocean from our window that faced the ocean and the Queensland Lake. Great restaurant Trilley’s just down the road and the room/staff were awesome! Will definitely stay here again!

The room is very small but I guess for an old house it makes sense. It was quite pricey for what it was. Be prepared to carry your luggage up a long narrow wooden staircase.

The inn is across the road from an excellent beach and would be ideal for a family stay.

Wonderfully located Victorian-style inn

We stayed at the Surfside Inn at the very end of September 2025 and absolutely loved it. The in consists of a lovely Victorian-era building that has been well cared-for and the decor definitely leans into the esthetic while adding some modern elements that mesh with it seamlessly.
Our room was very comfortable, clean, and stylish with a view of the water and the inclusion of antiques in the decor. The shower was perhaps a tad small yet serviceable, but we did have access to a large soaker tub in addition to it.
The location is also great! You can go to the Queensland beach very easily by crossing the street and walking 3 minutes. The gentle sound of waves from the bay come through at night, which was very soothing. Furthermore, the inn is located smack in the middle of Lunenburg and Peggy's Cove, offering great options for day trips and sights to see. We also got to visit a great nearby antique shop called Blue Goose Antiques a hop and a skip down the road and had some great finds.
The inn also offered a breakfast buffet in the morning for a decent price and provided free coffee which was greatly appreciated. The owners we also very kind and helpful.
We look forward to returning to the Surfside Inn next time we travel to the area.
