Bare ground floor too much car noise difficult for wheelchair users
Accessible by wheelchair ??? not so simple
Must go via platform lift and need help luckily I did not have my husband in wheelchair with me and for me with crutches doable via stairs.
Friendly staff who help you with luggage if you are less mobile.
Room 1 ground floor is a modified room spacious and neat fine at first sight with also modified bathroom. Is open shower with movable shower chair. Not easy because must constantly feed water nr gutter with giant floor wiper . How should you do this when shower chair or wheelchair are in shower?? Good beds but narrow. Aircon ok nice and fresh room on arrival. Fortunately no fragrance spray because react allergic and I reported so that was taken into account as well as extra harder pillows because the normal ones are much too soft. (Reflux) Problem light at night by detector next door.
Problem roller blind in room, I am not small but barely touched cord that hangs quite high. Since my husband is in a wheelchair, I also test the facilities. Impossible for someone in a wheelchair to close this curtain?? Also no complete closure of curtain along sides. The nameplate of hotel is illuminated all night and stands in front of window through which light shines inside.
The room is next to entrance door so if noisy guests enter at night you are automatically woken up.
The haven of peace as some visitors wrote is nightmare for room 1.
Room is on the street side there is a speed camera but I thought my bed was on motorway.
And not for even the whole night lying awake by speeding cars and trucks from 6am.
Even earplugs didn't help!! I live not far from the airport but this was worse than planes at home.
The insulation here is absolutely not good so I will not come back here again too bad but paying that price to lie awake all night is not the intention. This room is not suitable for noise and photosensitive people.
Evening and night entrance from parking with badge. Reader also placed higher. How are you supposed to get in here as a less mobile person especially with a wheelchair or walker not evidently a shame but since there is no restaurant present, these people will have to find other solution to get in after a restaurant visit. For wheelchair users I cannot recommend this hotel. They have done their best because is a problem in Belgium to find good hotel for wheelchair users but their solution is not practical. It is for this reason that we report this as a guest so that the hotel can possibly offer other solutions. No negative but constructive criticism and important for future guests. I was helped with my luggage perfectly.
Breakfast buffet is fine, coffee and tea is brought to the table and buffet is ok.
Too bad I won't be back here given the noise.
Other rooms will be ok and is clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff but for rest you should not be here anyway not on ground floor sorry.
