A house through time……….
The house is managed by the on-site couple Hadrian and Sharon, and with their team, they do an excellent job. From the moment we arrived they knew our names, gave us a guided tour of the property, set up key codes for the gate, and made us feel really safe and welcome.
Throughout our stay Hadrian booked us taxis (often with the very helpful Vivian) and helped with reservations, and Sharon was so knowledgeable on the history of the house and simply being there to answer our questions.
This is a beautiful house, superbly managed and maintained. I hope we have the opportunity to stay again.

A very special holiday experience.
Hadrian, Sharon, and the entire team look after the guests, house, and gardens beautifully. I stayed for a week and had a truly wonderful experience, with thoughtful care and attention throughout. I’m very grateful for the kindness and support shown to me, especially as I made the brave decision to holiday alone.
The atmosphere and décor of this historic building are quietly elegant and extremely comfortable. The sense of space and the soft breezes are uplifting and deeply relaxing. I especially enjoyed the social conversations at breakfast, which added warmth and connection to the stay.
This has been a very memorable holiday, and I would highly recommend Colleton Great House.

Fabulous stay
Set on a hill you can see the sea and on clear evenings wonderful sun sets.
We stayed for 8 nights, relaxing by the pool and using the house as a good base to explore the island.
Sharon and Hadrian take care of everything you need, nothing is too much trouble and if they can make it happen they will. They're just lovely!
If you want a luxury home from home stay, with great hospitality, this is the place to stay.

Beautiful, quiet, relaxing with wonderful staff.
The managers, Hadrian and Sharon, are wonderful hosts and made us feel like home. They gave us the warmest welcome with a decorated room and white wine for my birthday. They also had their chef prepare a delicious Barbados flavored dinner for us. Thank you to Hadrian, Sharon and all staff for making this time so special!
Pros: wonderful, friendly staff, very nice large rooms, upgraded bathrooms, very good food, beautiful grounds, nice swimming pool, interesting history.
We would most definitely stay here again if in Barbados, only longer.
