Birthday weekend

Highly recommended. Situated at the right place to Jindabyne, Thredbo and Perisher Valley. Easy drive. We were blessed to have Blanketed with thick snow.
Property was very clean, well equipped, Plenty of room, very well looked after. Managers Tyler and Kathryn are very approachable and as country people are very friendly.
Jindabyne accommodations centre booking was very easy and done promptly.
Fell in love with the property and crackenback. Looking forward to visit eco crackenback in summer

A great stay in Crackenback

We had a great three night stay at Ecocrackenback! Our cabin had everything we needed and extra amenities like heated floors and towel racks made it the perfect getaway choice.
The location is perfect for Jindabyne, Thredbo and Perisher and the grounds themselves are beautiful. Kathleen went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay (who knew Kangaroos could growl?!) and we’d love to come back!

Sublime relaxation

We stayed in a two bedroom habitat. They are spacious, clean and well appointed. Great location set amongst the snow gums and ours overlooked the paddocks and alpine highway in the distance. You have privacy, peace and quiet and fresh air! We saw lots of native wildlife but the highlight was a kangaroo with a joey. Easy access to the ski fields and close to Jindabyne. Best of both worlds. We would definitely return and probably will!

Peaceful retreat

We spent 3 nights at Ecocrackenback in early January (#16). The property is located in a picturesque spot 10 mins from Jindabyne and 20 mins to Thredbo. We loved watching the kangaroos visit each morning and evening and the kids loved making friends with the resident dog. There was plenty of room for the kids to run around and play ball games.
The habitats were adequately equipped for a short stay - fairly no frills and no oven. Although it seemed like most of the other habitats were occupied, we rarely saw anyone else.
We enjoyed dinner one night at Crackenback Farm just across the road and can highly recommend.
I would recommend for a short stay while visiting the Crackenback area.

Beautiful Property and Ideal Accommodation Pity about the Cleanliness

Stayed at Ecocrackenback No 12 in January 2021. The property was in a convenient location easy to get to Threadbo for Hiking and easy drive to Jindabyne for dinner. It was just up the road from Wildbrumby, I'd recommend a visit there too for lunch and schnapps. It was in a lovely bush setting with a peaceful outlook and we enjoyed the evening visits from the Kangaroos. The accommodation was adequate for our needs, however the cleanliness was most disappointing. I would expect a professional clean after each visitor especially as we are in Covid times expecting all surfaces to be wiped down and not to mention the price we paid to stay a few nights in this accommodation - it wasn’t cheap.
I am being honest and don’t prefer to write negative reviews however, I strongly suggest to management to have a word with the cleaners to see what they are NOT Cleaning! We arrived and happened to wipe down the dining table, the wipe we had turned brown and there were marks with bits of food stuck to the rim of the glass table. We noticed the coffee table had crumbs all over it and the carpet had not been vacuumed. We called management and they promptly sent someone to clean this. Thankyou. However later that evening we noticed in the bedrooms the bedside tables had sticky ring marks from cups and the lamp shades were covered in dust. With regards to the kitchenware there were cups with chips which need replacing, a microwave container would have been helpful and so would a salad bowl. I think these are basic essentials. The BBQ was filthy, it would have been wonderful to BBQ in the evening but couldn’t bring ourselves to use this. Perhaps if you are not worried about Covid or as fastidious as me, you wouldn’t mind staying here.
